Boo ,you ya fancy some Yoga ,in ya mountains ..stay to the end ....it's perfect for us  !!!!

Trying to determine if those people are doing naked yoga or nekkid yoga.

Naked is when you don't have on any clothes.  Nekkid is when you don't have on any clothes and are up to something.

Hey now!

I guess three really is the magic number.

Starting a four-day weekend and the weather we're having around here makes jumping in the water seem like the only logical thing to do.  A guy I work with summed it up as well as any of these meteorologists around here..."It's hotter than two rats f***ing in a wool sock."

It's a little out of the way, but I'll swing by Liverpool and pick you up Doreen.  It's Ocoee time!

I'll be ready to take my rightful place ,in the front of our canoe....holding on to the lunch box ....

Giddy up Doreen!

We've had rain the last couple of days and more is rolling through tonight.  We're running Richland tomorrow!

That's a GoPro camera on the one guy's helmet.

Like most every other technological gadget, I manage to simultaneously love and hate those things.

On the positive side, you get some good footage from cameras mounted on helmets or boats.  Good footage shot by knowledgeable paddlers even allows for some preliminary scouting of the river and picking out lines to run.

On the downside, now you see a bunch of dipshits who have no business running anything over Class II getting in over their head in an effort to get video for their social media accounts.  We pulled one guy out of the Chattooga River; he couldn't do a basic Eskimo roll but thought he would try to run Bull Sluice anyways...for the footage.

This is pure madness.... Good job you were there ...

Ok I'm  thinking a camera on the helmet could be very interesting ....when we do a scouser roll together ..it would make good footage ...

Do I need to buy one of the more up-to-date smaller models or will my old helmet cam setup suffice?

I hate to tell that girl, but getting a running start at it ain't helping her cause.

As for excitement...I'm looking to get in an Ocoee run this weekend.  It's been three weeks since I did any canoeing.  It's not looking like we're going to get much rain this week and water levels are too low to run any of the local creeks.  But we get guaranteed water on the Ocoee and the upper and middle sections are running this weekend.

Keep your climbing harness handy Doreen, we'll be doing more of that in the Fall.  For now, take your seat in the canoe.

I'm gonna get you wet this weekend...and then we'll go to the river.

You wanted excitement?

Running the upper section of the Ocoee this morning, ran a rapid called "Godzilla."  Ran it too far right.  Didn't get the canoe straightened out in time.  Dropped into another rapid called "Humongous" sideways.  That's never a good idea.

Anyway...before I get carried away with tales of adventure, it wasn't a situation that put me in severe danger.  I just got my ass kicked swimming in a Class IV rapid.  Once the river reminded who the real boss is out there, it spit me out and I floated downstream to safety.

Ran the middle section as well.  Didn't get thrashed there.  Didn't even go for any unplanned swims there.

I'm guessing Boo's dog is not thrilled either?

Good grief !!!....

Don't have me come over there ,and have to dive in ,to save your drowning arse ...

They would play havoc with my hair ...

I'm not sure this girl could stand that level of excitement....

Funny how life works out...

I got thrashed pretty good on the river but panic never set in.  I've been in spots like that many times before.

Fast forward to 2 a.m. and I had a moment where I thought that big ol' bowl of chili I had for supper last night might be the death of me.

Danger has a way of sneaking up on you when you don't expect it.
