  1. ^Now that is awesome... what a great find .... maybe one day I will let it go... when tossed salad is no longer an option, and for the record you took it to the third umpire who very wisely agreed it was Orange... then you asked Scotland... and guess what Orange... 3:1 the odds are ever in my favour.
  2. ^^ Hey @Sslip is that number plate on a brown car?
  3. How are you filling it @Wee fluffy me , with buckets? Don't they have hoses in Scotland?
  4. Shred, Pull, Lettuce
  5. Just a personal thank you for everything you have given to support me in my quit. A true lady showing us how to live smoke free in style.
  6. ^^freaks Surf, catch, rip
  7. Don't forget the cucumber sandwiches, aren't they compulsory?
  8. Well ... clearly @Sslip wasn't thinking the way I was... not at all, not one bit... so I will very nicely post a double up I and then maybe he can get the J right.... because there really is only one acceptable J and its on a par with the Scottish F for awesomeness.... so double up I... Invictus ... the movie, now if that doesn't tug at patriotic heart strings I don't know what does. Edit: But Sslip's I was a pretty frickin good one too... although I never knew what it was called, its just the Rugby Song....
  9. Sick of waiting and because I think Sslippy Doodah might do the I that I was thinking off...... Home Among The Gum Trees (Cos only the Aussies could have a song about how good our place is that included an ode to smoking dope when its illegal )
  10. OMG I missed so much banter and still in a state of corned beef shock, cos we hve it all the time here and not outta a crappy tin. Who loves the slow cooker?
  11. I remember watching this game of rugby and thinking now that's a frickin anthemn.....
  12. ^^ You barracking for Sweden too when they play with England??? .... Sslip doesn't want me to barrack for England, something about the kiss of death or whatnot... dunno why. Erin Go Bragh @WeegieWoman & @Wee fluffy me one of you two better post the right scottish song for F or I will be very sad.... it is one of the best patriotic songs in the whole frickin world and they only "anthem" with a reply section...
  13. Congratulations @Sparkzzz for being 9 months smoke free. Well done on all the hard work you have put in to reach the the 3/4 milestone. You have such a strong quit happening and you are powering towards that 1 year mark and the Lido Deck. Keep up the good work and let us know how you celebrated your achievement.
  14. Congratulations @Nancy for being a non-smoking wonder woman for 5 whole years. What a wonderful support and role model you are for all of us following in your wake. The Lido Deck is ready for your 5-peat celebration. Hope you are doing something at home to celebrate your fifth year of freedom and thank you so much for still being here for all of us.
  15. ^^ What she said. I was a bit more spontaneous, I was freaking out in week 3, googled, found a board, joined and it was the best thing ever. The knowledge and support I have received have really eased my way in this quit. I know I have a wonderful group of people at my back and because we are global it doesn't matter what time zone ya in or what time of day it is there is always someone not far away to help you out.
  16. Cos corned beef is an Irish dish maybe weegie?
  17. On me dad's side pickled mutton was like corned beef, but lamb and was best sliced cold... only ever had it at crissy but it was boiled (pickled) with red wine, orange juice, honey bayleaves and cloves.... on me otherside me grandad would make an indian style pickle to spread on bread out of mutton. Which would you prefer?
  18. We boil corned beef... or silverside... or pickled mutton does that count?
  19. It was my stellar clue wasn't it?
  20. OH wait I got a big fizchick entry from @Wee fluffy me for the A... Ally's Tartan Army... from when Scotland made the world cup finals in 1978. OH wow... how bizzare, that fizchick give me B.... this was hard, because there are soooo many good Irish B's and English B's even... hmmm, decisions, decisions, decisions... ok so with Honorable mentions going to both Braveheart, Bridge Over the River Kwai and The Boys of the Old Brigade..... I give you.... Breaker Morant ... for the line, that every Aussie believes is true: "Shoot straight you bastards, don't make a mess of it." as he stands before the firing squad.
  21. Don't you have deep fried mars bars at your chippies Joe? Oh an is it cool if I bring a pav?
  22. who can pass up James Cagney.... Yankee Doodle Dandy
  23. Good Morning fellow NOPErs. Hope you all have lovely weekends. Today is Global Forgiveness Day, yep its on the calendar of special days. So on Global Forgiveness Day I would like to take this time to forgive myself for wasting all the time, money and healthy lung tissue smoking, yes it was stupid, yes it was a mistake and yes it more than rolled the risk dice with my own future but I don't hate myself because of it, I forgive myself and I move forward as a reformed, non smoker. So to a world without forgiveness and to a life where I resent myself for decisions that can't be changed but have been corrected I say: . NOPE ... not today, not tomorrow, not ever, forever! Topic of the day: Still being Patriot... but it has to change tomorrow cos its sundee.
  24. ^^ The best of all the Shakes... frickin love the St Crispin's Day Speech... The Wind That Shakes The Barley (song)
