  1. Congratulations!!! :D
  2. I don't think it's weird at all to go and smell the makeup, others can smell it on you when you give them a hug, you should know what they smell on your face :P I agree with EL B, everyday things that were smelling sooo strong for a while, now have settled down, but the things that I only smell off and on are still stronger than they were when I smoked..like when it rains and I bring the dogs in, they smell more of "wet dog" then they used to - or like last weekend- hubby made cabbage rolls, boy did that cabbage stink up the house "more then before I quit" :laugh2:
  3. Agree with all the above,.. for me a big trigger (habit) was talking on the phone, I reached for a cig before I answered the phone, lit one before I made a call, then chain smoked the entire time I talked... it was one of the hardest for me to get passed, I tried lollipops, Twizzlers, cinnamon toothpicks, pacing back and forth... but what worked for me was twirling my hair with my free hand.. don't know why it works for me, and I really don't care why it works ( I still do it ).. it works and thats all that matters... goes to show - it's important to keep trying things until you find one that works for you and your particular smoking related trigger / habit...
  4. I remember when my sense of smell started coming back ,...my first "new smell"...was the first time hubby cut the grass this past summer,.. freshly cut grass with the smell of the chopped up pine needles, and then it rained just after he was finished.... me and hubby sat on the back steps while I closed my eyes, used my "new nose", enjoying those 3 wonderful aromas all blending together....that was a day I'll always remember... haven't stopped sniff'n things since !! :P
  5. Nancy's right, burrs are one kind of stickers, here's another type.. Action, do you not have these evil prickly things in the UK?

  12. Interesting,..but I'm not sure what it will accomplish .. there are "dry" counties where you can't buy or sell alcohol - that doesn't stop people from crossing to the next county over to buy it... I suppose it's more of a statement/position than anything at this point... Even if it does happen there, I really don't see (unfortunately) a country wide ban on sales of nicotine products any time soon... theres just too much money from big tobacco flowing into Washington....
  13. Happy birthday, hope you have lots of fun!!
