  1. My theme song during the first few weeks of my quit (seems like a long time ago) https://youtu.be/-gkibxWr0DY
  2. I fully plan to stick around too. I've been here for a while as a lurker but I plan on contributing much more in the future. I appreciate you guys welcoming us over during the technical difficulties at the other site.
  3. You guys definitely do! B) :music: :good3:
  4. Smoking definitely isn't going to help your asthma...or anything else. Keep up the good fight, Evelyn. You are going to quit smoking for good this time.
  5. ^^^^ impressive word, Beazel jurisprudence

  9. ...and you can kill off nicotine's butt, Evelyn. That is the right attitude. We all know that quitting can be tough but all of us will tell you that life is better as a non-smoker and that the rough early days are worth it. Stick close to this board and reach out whenever you need help. You can definitely do this.
  10. It is always good to see you, Beazel! :) Congratulations on such a great quit and thanks for all you do to support others in theirs.
  11. NOPE - I don't smoke anymore. Happy Anniversary, Beazel! :)
  12. Cute video from Japanese punk rock girl band Shonen Knife. I assume all of these cats are non-smokers.

    - 3 Sigh, I guess I'm being dragged into this. I always lose these type of counting games on the other board too. :help:

  21. I guess I'm like Stevo. I always thought of myself as a nice person so if someone asked to bum a smoke, I'd gladly give them one or two (I always had an extra pack somewhere if I ran out). I thought of giving someone a cigarette who desperately needed one as a good deed, especially in my teens and early twenties. Now I realize I was contributing to the delinquency and possible disease of that person. Yikes. What kind of f'ed up good deed is that?
  22. Welcome to QuitTrain, Claire. Congrats on a great quit. :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
