  4. Hey Stew! Sorry you're getting smacked in the face with the reality of what our choices can bring to our doorstep later in life. Been there myself only with a different issue but kind of similar in a way ... all traces back to years, no decades, of smoking. It sucks for sure but if we don't make lemonade from the lemons were dealt, there's only dispare and negativity left and that's not living. Retirement ain't so bad; in fact it's pretty cool, once you get used to it. More time for you with your loved ones and besides, you'll be slowing down later on anyway. Being retired and able to sleep in on a weekday is a nice new normal Sorry you've got a long road ahead. I get it! I may have beat my initial scare but there's a reason the Oncology Doc is monitoring me closely every 3 months. it's not because he's got nothing eles to do. He knows there's a chance my cancer might come back at any time, I'm in remission - not cured! None of us know our fate. All we can do is deal with things as they come to us and make the best of it by focusing on all the good things going on in our lives. That's living and we only get one kick at the can so let's make the most of it 🥳🎉
  5. Well hey there L4L. Staying afloat. Trying to finish business projects and organize thing's for a really unprepared retirement. Staying at bay with the heart issues, angina is better with the new drug protocol but they are tasking my energy. I have a new group of heart patients that meet multiple times a week engaging in our well being then go to a cardiac rehab program that is physical exercise while they watch your heart rate pressure and EKG readings. I am doing surprisingly well through these of which I am continuously snarled at about pushing it too hard, but they hold me back as much as they can.😎 My wife still smokes but as she says I only have a couple a day. We all know that gig. Luckily she has enough respect to not bring them home. Once in a while I can smell it and this will bring on some nasty thoughts but the thought of that heart attack pain and bypass surgery pretty quickly dismisses the urge. Spending lots of wonderful time with my granddaughter who now says grandpa in toddler English with her little arms spread wide for a hug.. Soon I will now be watching "Millie" on Thursdays and am a little fearful but excited, with the exception of diaper time.... So thats the long answer to the question and here is the short. BUSY! KTQ. Stew.
