April 13, 201610 yr Nicky tells me..they still smoke everywhere ..no restrictions at all.. She had to eat her meals..surrounded by folks puffing away... Being a non smoker ..she found this very hard... I don't think I will be visiting Paris any time soon..
April 13, 201610 yr Some colleagues of mine just returned from Jakarta and it was the same thing there. He had quit smoking 8 years prior and started again when they were living there. Now they're back in the US, his direct colleagues are a bunch of health nuts and he's having a rough go of it. I have no doubt he'll quit but yea, some cultures make addiction easy.
April 13, 201610 yr The weird thing is, France actually passes a lot of anti-smoking restrictions. They simply don't enforce them. Which begs the question: why pass the restrictions in the first place? C'mon France, join us in saying NAN!...or whatever the French equivalent of NOPE! is.
