So this morning I was feeling a little blue, so I threw on the Easyway audible on my way to work. I remember it was such a great comfort to me in my early quit days. And though I have no desire to smoke (almost 2 years and 5 months quit, but I had to think about it, it seems a lifetime ago), his words STILL gave me some peace.

Just a great man.

I read his book two days after I quit. Such a revelation to me. The most important was that I was not giving up something good. So there is no reason for a new quitter to feel mad or that ond needs to suffer. Instead one should feel happy that He has had quit something very damaging. After I read that, I refocused my thinking to a more positive outlook. I also realized from the book that I was simply addicted to nicotine.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
