April 27, 201511 yr Quitting versus smoking . What I learned from my journey : Surrendering to the QUIT was much better than fighting it. Its a sign of strength not weakness and is sure to bring a sense of relief , not suffering . Surrender if smoking is tempting you today and KYQ. Thoughts?
April 27, 201511 yr I didn't get what you meant at first but yes, surrendering to your quit is so much easier. Get to a place of acceptance and you will have peace.
April 27, 201511 yr Yep....that is when I found peace in my quit. When a craving/urge would come.....I would welcome it....not fight against it...for it gave me an opportunity to learn something about myself and also gave me an opening to use my awesome coping strategies I had picked up along the way. When I looked at it like an exercise....a challenge...it was so much easier. Above all...no matter what...I was not going to smoke. No. matter. what
April 27, 201511 yr To quit takes a second. To stay quit requires surrender, passivity. To restart requires a conscious action.
April 27, 201511 yr passivity. Good word. It takes understanding it, it takes practice and it takes time.
