How is your day, week, month going?

Good morning everyone,

I would like to get to know all the regulars here. So here goes. Please check in daily and let all of us know how you are doing today.

For me...

I am happy it is Friday. My week was full of figuring out plans to find funding to keep my organization going: finding funding to pay staff and deliver community programs. And my hubby was home this week, so spent lots of quality time together.

Keep the quit.

Gene

Good morning!   Doing well thanks, Gene.  I don't get many urges anymore and I don't think of smoking too much either.  A definite difference from a year ago! 😃

That's awesome @QuittingGirl... enjoy your Friday. :)

Been getting ready for a trip the wife & I are going on tomorrow! All that last minute stuff to be done before leaving. Things get a little stressful as time gets short but once on the plane, time to relax and start to enjoy! Unfortunately, won't be able to check back in for awhile as I'll have limited access to social media while away. Take care everyone and Keep those prescious quits!!!

Doing well here in the Raleigh, NC area.  Friday evening and endured the surprisingly strong edge of Hurricane Helene earlier but had no damage at my place.  Things are smoother now, at least in my area.

Happy Monday everyone,

I am grateful that today, I am waking up breathing clean air. Over the weekend, I did have one moment when I was feeling frustrated, dreading work that had to be completed. I was procrastinating and in the past, when I thought about a big project that had to be completed, the worry bug would set in and I would start smoking. How will smoking ever fix that kind of problem? I chose not to smoke because I know better.

What are you grateful for today?

Good morning Gene!

Smoking doesn't fix any problem, big or small.  Smoking fixes nothing, it only makes things worse!  I am grateful for my family and friends and for Quit Train because I don't think I would have been able to get through the first few months of my quit! I am still grateful for this site.  I love coming on here every day and interacting with everyone and playing those silly games.😀

Good morning.

It was my mother's birthday yesterday. She turned 79 years old. She is such a classy lady.... simple and salt of the earth. She taught me everything I needed to know about how to be a decent, empathetic human being. I am grateful that she is my mother.

Who are the people in your life that you are grateful for today?

Good morning,

Yesterday I had a 15 hour work day. I did a TV interview to promte my organizations community programs and an upcoming fundraiser. Then I had a late night Board meeting.  We talked about what we needed to do to strenghen our organization so we can be effective meeting our mandate to lift people out of poverty.

I was tired at the end of the day. But I do feel a sense of satisfaction and gratitude. Gratitude that I work with a group of people who are passionate about wanting to make a difference in the lives of others, for the greater good.

Birds of a feather do flock together.

And on that subject, I am grateful for all of the Quittrain members who come here daily to offer their support to others who are quitting smoking.

Wow, you did have a really busy day Gene.  What type of work do you do?

We all are kind of doing for others what we received in the beginning of our quits.  You won't be the newbie on this site after a few months and one day soon, you will be supporting other newbie quitters.  🙂

Gene … I love that you are trying to help others through rough times

I salute you …

This is why have stayed here …

If I can help 1 person Quit and stop them from dying of a smoke related illness I’m happy .

Stay Close 🐸

Thanks @QuittingGirl ... I work for a non profit organization that delivers community programs in one of the poorest neigbourhoods in Ottawa, Ontario.

The sun is trying to come out today!  For over a week it's been so cloudy and gloomy. According to the weather it's supposed to be mostly sunny today, so we shall see if they are right.  So far they aren't....LOL!!!
