That's probably why I gravitated towards a lace dress! I love anything that's classy-looking. Haha, I have been walking around the apartment in them, that's for sure! My poor neighbours below me though.... sorry! I am so glad I get to share with you and the other ladies. :) I had some issues planning when we first got engaged because of my ex bridesmaid/cousin, so I didn't feel like the wedding/planning was real until recently! Aw, thanks Colleen! :) I really do love the dress... and the price ($140 after taxes). My friend is amazingly crafty. She also owns a salon, so she's getting her stylists to do our hair and make-up on the big day. :D I feel very lucky to have her! You're right. It's actually blue and white topaz. I'm not a diamond girl (more of a pearl/gemstone person), so Steve bought me this ring back in January. :) I like that it's not your "typical" engagement ring.

Although, to be honest, I'm a bit terrified of walking down the aisle. I'm quite awkward, lol. We aren't doing at that venue. :( I tried to get a response about food for over a month and she would take weeks to respond. Steve even called her and got angry at her. I'm not one to yell, so he can be the Groomzilla and yell for both of us! We ended up getting fed up with her and are having the reception at a restaurant where the owner is friends with Steve and his parents. He's doing a whole buffet for us for about $1000 in total. It's not what I envisioned, but I'm okay with that. :) Love it all! She'd be so elated right now if she were here. :D It's not the same without her, but I am so appreciative that I can share with you all. August 14, 201412 yr It will fly in, we had a tiny wedding and I spent literally only a couple of hundred euros on my dress, my dad paid for everything so was great didn't get into debt,still came to over 10 grand mind you but we paid for everyones hotel rooms, drinks and bought everyone special individual personalised pressies, was great having our 3 babies be a big part of our special day, You are soo organised allready, I didn't get my dress til two weeks before the wedding and I really didn't like it but nowt I could do, I just couldn't find anything I liked without spending a small fortune which I really didn't want to do considering it would only he worn once. Are you having page boys or flower girls, is that what yous call the lil people at your wedding over the pond???
August 14, 201412 yr Author Pretty close! We call them ring bearers and flower girls. I don't think we are. We are having an adult-only reception due to the alcohol and being in a pub/restaurant. I'm worried guests will be too inebriated to take care of their own children, lol. My dress was cheap and I do love it. There was one I had my heart set on for a while, but it was $800 (597.12 euro) and I couldn't justify that price. Steve makes good money, but I'm not working right now because I'm going to school full-time, so I didn't want to blow $800 from our income since he's the one that's supporting me and I can't contribute much. Besides, I tried on the expensive dress again and I looked like a sausage! We are trying very hard not to go into debt with the wedding because we want to purchase a house. We've had to cut costs on things, but we are still trying to keep our guests in mind. We won't be able to buy everyone drinks all night, but we will provide a meal, two drink tickets, soft drinks/tea/water/coffee all night, dessert, etc. for everyone. Steve wants to rent an expensive car for the day, lol. My biggest priority is getting lots of pictures. Pictures are a really big deal for me.

Registry office....back to my mum and dads for salad,in thier front parlour..... 10 grand.....ours cost at least 10 pounds...... Mind you then ,I got a full weeks shopping for a fiver..... September 16, 201411 yr Author I have started my cardbox. It's not even close to being down. The picture has some weird lighting going on, but the lettering is silver on white ribbon and the box has been painted navy blue. What do you guys think so far?
