22 days today!! I’ve discovered that if I don’t drink and drink and drink I crave a cigarette more often. Why is that? Anyway, I’ve never been a big fluid person, so it’s hard for me. It feels me up and I lose my appetite for food. I will persevere though. Think I’ll step up the carbs and protein and work out a little. I can’t afford to lose too much weight. Hope it works!

Good job on reaching 22 days Gus! You're on your way and yes, drinking lots of water helps keep your mouth busy, fill your stomach and at least temporarily take your mind off the cravings. Exercise will give you a dopamine release too that will help to replace the dopamine hit smoking gave you. It's all good - stay on track and you'll get there.

Glad you are still on track with your quit :)

Congratulations on 22 days Gus! Your body is busy busy cleaning the mess caused by smoking and the extra hydrating is to help clean out the gunk 😊

Just keep listening to your body it knows what it needs be it extra water, rest, eating, etc...you're doing great 🤗

It takes a while but you'll feel (and breathe) so much better once you've been off the smokes for awhile :)

It takes time to repair our bodies ....it's had decades of sabotage.....

Our minds run away with us ....but our bodies have to catch up....

Be patient ....

Congratulations ....your doing great .😁

Great start to your quit Gus.  Water is a wonderful way to wash away those craves.  Sometimes it is hard not to replace smoking with sweets and that leads to weight gain.  Stay close and keep us up on your journey.  Your experiences may help someone else that is struggling with quitting.
