  1. Massive congratulations Runfree! Sorry I wasn't around sooner to say well done. I wish you a smoke free day for the rest of your life.
  2. Yaaaaay! I made it! NOPE for today anyway. I forgot I even had that banner, I haven't used a pc for so long and it doesn't show on my phone.... cool....
  3. whoo hoo! I feel much better today that I did not smoke and made it to 1 year baby! Thank you all for your support these last few days.
  4. I went to the doctor today and have been told to get some bed rest for a few days and that I have bronchitis. Do you think it's true what they say? That we will always be ex smokers and never cured from our years of smoking... Today I've got 374 days of no nicotine or smoking and still have the lungs of a smoker. This is not exactly how I hoped to be celebrating 1 year but it's better than the alternative I reckon.
  5. I'm here and I'm happily not smoking. I've been sick and that reminds me of the urge to force a smoke.
  6. F ING he'll I'm battling. I feel like smoking and have come close a few times today. I really don't feel positive about staying smoke free right now. Life feels dull and boring.
  7. Thanks guys I'm so close to a year wow, I've not been anywhere near a full year smoke free since I started smoking 25 odd years ago.... its scary.
  8. It's morning here now. I just woke up after dreaming that I was on day one again, not cool! When I woke up it took a while for me to realise that it was just a dream. I'm going for a run now, thank you all for your support I did not smoke. Chat later I hope....
  9. I'm am so obsessing about having a smoke right now. I've had a really bad day today and just feel like messing it up even more with a smoke. After all this time I'm still addicted. Don't get me wrong, being nicotine free has been awesome , but today I'm really f'd up...
  10. Wow, I am so grateful for my quit today. This time last year I walked my first 10k race and it was just after I had picked up a smoke the day before. Today I ran a full half marathon , I can't believe it. Thanks to all who know me. And thank you Tracey for your support too. Hope you're all having a great day.
  11. Awesome. Running helps me stay quit. I was asked last night by a friend if I want to join her at a 10k race this morning and not only did I say yes, I am able to as well. Amazing what can be achieved when smoking stops.
  12. Pat pat! Well done man. Keep up the good work and never forget what it was like. Over 8 months nicotine free ktq!
  13. To celebrate, and burn off some time and energy Tracey, I will be running my first half marathon in June.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
