  4. I know you may not believe it if you haven't done it yet, but QUITTING ROCKS!!!! Do it now, and don't look back. Be happy that you have made this decision for yourself! It may be a little tough at first, but it is sooooo worth it. It will change your life. You can do it. I did it. So did so many people here. Stop Smoking NOW. You have nothing to lose and EVERYTHING TO GAIN! :) :)

  6. I love the Random Thoughts thread. :)
  7. ptui - lol :) Personally, I think spitting is gross. IMHO - mediation doesn't necessarily fall under the Woo Woo category, like say tarot card reading does. I was just agreeing that The Sarge has talked about "Woo Woo" before, and it is personally hard for me to relax and meditate cuz I am a little high strung (especially at 1 in the afternoon). I think we can get pretty meditative enjoying a favorite meal - like tacos, for example (one of my personal favorites). I think The Sarge would agree.
  8. So, my husband went out running one day (a few years ago). When he got home, blood was running down his leg. He had huge scratches and road rash all down the right side of his body - shoulder, elbow, thigh, knee, etc. I was like, "Oh, my God! What happened?" He said, "I tripped." I was like, "Are you okay???? :0! Did anyone see you???" Another prime example of my super compassionate-ness! LOL! :)
  9. Sarge has talked about the "Woo Woo" before. He isn't into it - at all. :)
  10. I'm so restless. I have a glass of wine (sometimes I even have 2 - :) ) , then go to bed. That is my meditation. I took this yoga/meditation class once a week for 8 weeks. It wasn't enjoyable for me. It was in the middle of the afternoon, (1:15 - 2:30), so maybe it was just a hard time for me to relax, but seriously - I couldn't wait to get out of there.
  11. Hi Tiff! :)

  22. I think it is neat that cooking can sometimes be such a gift. i.e. "Look at this that I made for you!" :) Even if it turns out not the greatest the first time, sometimes it really is the thought that counts. A home made meal is an awesome way to show someone how much you care. :)
  23. This was just a warm up! Ya gotta get used to cooking in the States, right?!? :) Next time it will be even better. :)

    Sports Thread

I want those SuperMan PJ's!!! : My kids are the best athletes!!! Love watching them! :) I like the Chargers, the Padres, the Broncos and The Rockies. But honestly, I don't watch baseball AT ALL (but I did work at Jack Murphy Stadium - even if it isn't called that anymore). I don't really watch football either. :) Unless we get into the playoffs. :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
