Great post, Boo! I thoroughly agree and further take issue with the words, "I can't." If you change those words to "I don't know how to..." a limiting thought can be transformed into a quest for learning.

In light of your goal to lose weight and train for an event, a piece of equipment might be a great investment. I got a beautiful Nordic Track elliptical and I use it almost every day I'm at this home (I live in 2 places). I like the elliptical because it's low impact and burns a lot of calories. I do look forward to hitting the 6 month and 1 year marks, which seem distant but achievable if I hold on to my "personal commitment to never take another puff ". The most coveted milestone for me is living a full day without once thinking about smoking. I hope this will happen one day and that it will be followed by strings of days when I won't have a single thought about cigarettes or smoking. Am I reaching too high? Maybe...but this is my wish.
