  5. That is awesome, Diane. Great job. What you are going through is normal with new quitters. Most of us have gone through this. The first days are the toughest but it does get much better with time. And, as long as you commit to never taking another puff, you will not have to go through those first few days again. You are doing a great thing by putting smoking behind you.
  6. Welcome aboard, Eight-Toe Joe. That is a great name, by the way. What you are going through is normal for many quitters but the long term benefits of quitting smoking definitely outweigh the short-term issues like brain fog. You've already been given a lot of great advice but you can get a lot of advice and support here. Stick around. We all want you to put smoking behind you for good. You will be glad you did.
  7. I cast my vote for the Ben E. King version of Stand by Me. I always liked that song and I really like the movie of the same name that came out in the mid '80's. I voted for the Chili Peppers version of Under the Bridge. I can't believe you never heard this song, @Martian5. 😲 Like Boo, this song was huge when I was in high school and I also owned the required CD or cassette tape of that time, Blood Sugar Sex Magik. However, they still play that song nonstop here and I've gotten to the point where I just really can't stand it anymore. Still, I had to vote for the original, just because.
  8. I'm sorry that you relapsed but I'm glad you didn't disappear. Quitting smoking can be tough but I'm sure you can do it. It is definitely worth the struggles and since you keep trying, I think you know that life is better as a non-smoker. Stick around and stay focused. You can do this.
  9. NOPE - I don't smoke anymore.
