  2. Thanks for reaching out to me. I'm feeling very weak right now on quitting. It took months to quit cigarettes, 2019 was the year, haven't smoked once since but the cigars are winning right now. I know I will quit but need the magic tools I call them to do so. I have a breathing test on September 24th. I'm getting nervous. Maybe it will be the kick in the ass that I need to quit. I have to figure it all out on my own maybe with all your help some. Are there medications to help? I've tried the patch but have failed. The last time I was forced to quit. Was in the hospital for a few weeks. Long story. This is my SOS for all your help. Anyone reach out to me for guidance please!!!!!
  3. Gday An urge to smoke is not an order. It’s not a yes or no question that demands you answer. It’s not a fight you don’t have to go toe to toe. Tire yourself out ….no you just wait. Time always moves on and so you go with it. The urge exists in the moment and within mins it’s gone. And you’re still here and it’s not. Yes of course it will be back…. But here’s the magic it will be weakened cause you waited it out. And here is the bit that amazed me the most. The urges I’d always thought the most powerful. You know the first cig of the day, the end of a meal smoke. Well cause they were most common and you’d waited them out those ones were the first to disappear. Yep disappear cause they lost their strength over you. No great battles just waiting them out. You have the power. You have the time …. They don’t.

  8. I needed this. I messed up but I just finished my last cigarette again but this will be my forever quit. Thank you @Reciprocity
  9. I am saying NOPE to smoking for today.
  10. I agree, it's very philosophical. I believe that as long as we have the will to control and resist it, and understand its addictive mechanism, we can gradually reduce the amount of tobacco consumption. When cravings arise, we should exercise self-control and not become its slave every time. This is the key to success.
  11. Yes, I wouldn't do that either. I know it's tough to control the craving for cigarettes. You have to constantly resist and fight it. Of course, many times before, I lost and still smoked a cigarette. But I believe that as long as I keep reducing the amount and overcome it more times, then I am strong.
  12. Gday I don’t smoke….. and I certainly don’t resist urges to smoke for 30 times till it “made” me smoke. Fighting smoking urges till I finally have one…. Over that. I DONT HAVE URGES. I’ll shout it from the roof tops. I’m FREE. It’s not about the money. It’s not about the smell. It’s not about the health. It’s the freedom. I hate smoking with a passion. I love smokers cause I was one. I’ll never give them a hard time cause it didn’t help me when I was a smoker. I’ll let them come to me and ask. Till then
