New Tickers Calculate Money Saved...Is it Right?

Recommended Posts

So, today just happens to be my 160th day quit.  When I created my ticker, I used 30 cigarettes a day and $5/pack. My ticker calculates that out to be $798.54.  Since it’s all nice round numbers, I come up with $1,200.

30 cigarettes = 1.5 packs * 5 * 160

798.54/160 = approximately $5

Seems the math is defaulting to a pack a day, regardless of what you enter.

No complaint, given how much I paid for my ticker.  Just curious what the underlying math is that it uses.
