I have no outside or extra stress to deal with and really looking after myself, but withdrawals are really strong today!! I've been distracting myself & keeping busy but feeling very angry...normally, I rarely get angry. I know I just have to ride it through. The deep breathing does help...

Am in 4th day of my quit...

Congratulations on day 4 HN! There's no disputing the early days can be tough. But the payoff is worth it. It will get better soon....just hang in there!

Take it hour by hour if you have to. Go to the NOPE pledge and pledge every hour until you make it through the day.

HN...

We don't call it Hell Week for nothing...the only way through this fight...this is the worst it will never get...

Keep reading here..till your eyes bleed..all the help is here...

Being short tempered is very common..but it does pass..your body is coming through some massive adjustment ..

Be patient..once I accepted this ..it helped ..oh and my punching pillow..lol...

Normally day 4 or 5 is probably the hardest for most, especially cold turkey. Nicotine is out of your body about now and your addiction is screaming to have it back. Just ride it out and take solace in the fact that the reason you feel so crappy is that you are successfully denying your addiction what it desperately needs. You are winning, your addiction is losing and the longer you deny it, the weaker it gets. Every time you fight off the craving, you get stronger. Get plenty of sleep because this part of your quit is physically and mentally draining. Your anger will diminish once you're through the tough stuff. It's completely normal. Just warn any loved ones that you may be a little difficult to live with for a bit :) Keep strong NH!

Sorry just saw the SOS. I hope you managed to keep your quit.

Yes, hell week can sure be a drag!  Hang in there, Help.  Better days are ahead!!!   :)
