November 7, 201510 yr Post a typical smoker's excuse or statement of why he/she can't quit or some smoking falsehood. Maybe an excuse you used yourself. Next person to post, breaks the excuse down and then posts the next excuse and so on. Try to keep it going for the newbies and those thinking about quitting. I'll go first :) "I can't quit, I am more addicted than anyone else"
November 7, 201510 yr Every addict says that, newsflash you are no special snowflake, just an excuse! I CAN'T QUIT WITH CHRISTMAS COMING UP AND ALL THOSE SOCIAL EVENTS?
November 7, 201510 yr Then after Christmas, there's New Year's Eve, then parties and other functions..... IT KEEPS ME COMPANY
November 7, 201510 yr That is definitely junkie thinking. How can a bunch of rolled up leaves and poison keep you company? Smoking is not a pet! Smoking helps me relax....
November 7, 201510 yr Nicotine is a stimulant! It can't possibly help you relax! Just an excuse!! I'll gain weight if I quit...
November 7, 201510 yr Yes, you probably will. But fat cells are a lot easier to get rid of than cancer cells. You can deal with that when your quit is secure. As proof, check out Babs! My significant other smokes...I don't think I can quit without them...
November 7, 201510 yr its the same for lots of people but the quit is for you, not for others. There are ways to work round it like asking your partner not to smoke around you for a while until you get up your strength and you never know, you just might be the push your partner needed to quit too. Quitting is too hard, I will fail.....
November 8, 201510 yr Yes quitting is hard but going for cancer or other any other illness caused by smoking would be harder still. I will be bored without smoking
November 8, 201510 yr You will not be bored when you quit as you will be surprised on how much more stuff you do instead of just sitting or standing there puffing away, now that is boring!! I like it - umm no you are addicted to it and the little drug gives you a hit I COULD NOT COPE WITHOUT A SMOKE
November 8, 201510 yr With your body and mind not going into withdrawal every 20 minutes. ....you cope much better and calmer... It is my only pleasure.....
November 8, 201510 yr Author That's the cigarette lying to you. Once you quit, not only will you have more time to explore, you will most likely discover a new hobby or passion; I'm going to quit by cutting back.
