A Concussion...A Vent

Featured Replies

Or I think you are supposed to rest without much stimulstion and light?

Get better soon Colleen ... I know you are probably going stir crazy but make sure you rest up !

Colleen - Bummer.  Like they others said, rest, avoid stimulation.  I don't think meds can help with a concussion???

Take care of yourself.  :(.

yeah Melanie, been wearing sunglasses a lot and sitting in the dark.  Petra, you are right there are no meds to cure it.  There are meds to control symptoms such as nausea and pain.  This is no ordinary headache.  My brain is foggy.  Not feeling up to it, but I have to go back to work tomorrow or I won't have a job.

Colleen are you mad, that is the worst thing you could do, why can't you get a sick note from the doc??

That is mental going back to work, you'll end up in hospital! !

Colleen just read this, how are you feeling?  Hugs to you and hope you are on the mend soon xxx

That would be the logical thing Sue.  However, it doesn't work like that in my world.  Maybe if I had a traditional job.  I am working a long term temp assignment.  If the client's client is not happy with a quota being met, I go bye-bye.  And then I am no good to anybody.

My doctor didn't call, even though I called again.  I think they need to go bye-bye.  It feels like a tractor trailer is repeatedly driving over my head.

That's rubbish, best of luck getting through today and yeah a new doctor is needed, try do as little as possible in work if that's possible xxx

Poor ginger. Stay out of counting games for awhile.

My son hit an ied in afghan and got concusion. They helicopter a group of them out. He still has problems three years later

Well, that's comforting...

I think Bakon is just trying to tell you to take it as easy as you can.  If you don't rest, concussions will have long term consequences.

any better?

son went for cat scan this morning again- seriously, take it super easy
