My computer did an auto update to Windows 8.1.   Now I can't watch videos or post pics.  WTF?!

I might have to give up the internet all together.  There is not point in it anymore.

Uh oh, there must be a way around that Jenny.  You MUST be able to post pics.

I'm using 8.1, and have no problems with videos or pictures....what browser are you using?  After one update, I had to switch from IE to Chrome....

So does this mean I get a temporary break from cat and bat pics being posted on my sig  :P

 I don't think so Wiley!

OMG, It won't let me quote either!!!!

Nancy I have tried with IE and Google chrome.  Same results with both.

We all, know how much I know....you could put it on a pin head....but....

Hasn't our little action man had the same trouble.....

Oh Jenny ...this is devastating....the board will crumble.....

And continues to have the same trouble... If I'm using my laptop, I still can't quote or post pictures... I have to do all of that on my phone.

Sorry Jenny, I know how crap this is :(

For me, it was the update to IE11...

Jenny,

I am still on regular old Windows 8, I refuse to update b/c I heard of all the problems.  How about you do a system restore to the point just before the update?  I think that will work :)

LOL  What a silly thing to ask! hahahahahah

In IE click settings-then choose Internet options. Click the tab on top that says advanced.

Under advanced scroll to browsing and click the boxes for "disable script debugging" for both IE and Other.

Click reset and you should be good to go.

You ROCK Jingle!  I made those changes and it didn't work for IE, still cannot do anything there, but it does work with Google Chrome!  Guess that's the browser I'll be using!!!  Thank you, Thank you!!

Now, back to our regular scheduled programming.  Phew, that was close.   I was ready to cancel my internet service.    :)

That was my first thought, but it won't let me restore.   :O  I get the message that it cannot find a restore point.....  It's like it forces you to keep it once you have it.  Stay away!  Stay far far away from 8.1!

Hooray!  Catastrophe avoided!

I'm on IE11 too.  Have you tried using Chrome for your browser?  It's working for me.  Maybe will help you too. xx

My laptop belongs to my work... And I don't have the admin password to install Chrome. And I think if I told them why I wanted Chrome... The IT guy would have a heart attack, lol...!

Just hope that eventually, IE does whatever it needs to so that it works again... It kind of sucks not being able to quote...
