No smoking

This is a trying time in my life. I have to take extra care of my grandma. She was in a rehab facility for about a month because she has fallen a few times. The nurses did not do a lot to help strengthen her legs. Now that my grandma is back home, it takes two people to help get her around, get her dressed for bed, and to actually get her in the bed. I have to stay at my grandparents house from 5pm to 9pm. The overnight nurse will take over from there. I am glad I quit smoking. I am too busy watching over my grandma, making sure she stays in the bed and not fall, to go out and take a puff. With my grandma, I cannot take my eyes off her for a second.

Yes, you can do without the additional stress to think about when it is safe to have a fag or you are in withdrawal until 9 pm.

Not smoking is a blessing.

You're a Saint for taking on such a job and I know it's a thankless job but you're doing it because you know it's the right thing to do. My hat is off to you @Charmaine H 👏

It's a good thing you are quit. More energy for you and you're no longer a slave to nicotine so you can focus on the job at hand.

Your Grandma is very lucky to have you in her life and it shows what a wonderful loving and caring person you are @Charmaine H 🥰

I can imagine it's a stressful time for you both mentally and physically, no longer smoking will help you somewhat with energy levels (in time) and of course that precious time you will have in those hours you are looking after your Grandma.  You're an amazing person and I hope you have a good support network around you also. 🙂

Thanks everyone for the support. My grandma has been a big part of my life since I have been born. Every church and school activity I was involved in, she has been there. She had also been to every school graduation that I had. Now, it is my turn to be there for her.

I’m so sorry you are going through this trial. Caretaking is hard work! Keeping your quit is a wonderful tribute to your grandma - and a true achievement you can call your own. Sending strength and love your way.

You are a beautiful caring person

You Grandmum is lucky to have you

Spending more time together is special

Your not clock watching wondering when you can have your next fix

Sending my best Wishes xx🐸
