It´s at times like this...

that being part of a community, a group, a forum, pays.

Day 2-3. Cleaning the house. I sit down every now and then and  craaaaaaave.... like this ---->

If I hadn´t joined the board I would have probably been on my way to the shop by now and wouldn´t be posting. I would have thought "oh well, it is just a 2-day quit, no big deal, my quit day is the 15th anyway, I´ll quit proper on the 15th"...

But I joined the board and I know how my mind works in this. I would disappoint myself again and again as part of my self-doubt, lack of self-esteem trait. However I would chain myself to the bollard rather than disappoint Jimmy and the rest of you.

Somebody once said that that line of thought was wrong. That I should quit for myself and myself only, and that it wasn´t fair or useful or clever to put the key to my success on somebody else´s shoulders.

I disagreed then and I disagree now.

If the fear of disappointing other people takes me to month 4 or month 6 or 2 years, who cares what is fair or clever. Whatever works. If it works for me I´m going to use it.

:pardon:

Susana im proud to call you a friend and sister  ktq for you   im never disappointed in you   just stick to nope and keep posting stay in touch with everbody   and youll do great   love ya     :D  do what works best  you need me im here ok

you can do it take it one day at a time hun and before you know it it will be easier and easier........I know that has been said before but it is true.......plus know and get it into your head permanently that smoking will NOT resolve any problem or issue that you have in life thy will still happen but it will not help. We are here for you no judgement here or from me just gentle kicks in the butt  ;)  :) if you need one :) hugs Susanna

One day at a time, each step you are a winner just keep holding on and moving forward Susana

Whatever it takes!!

Teach us some more Spanish ;)

I love Spanish food can you post some Spanish recipes I will definitely try them  :D

Your doing great and posting and checking in to our lovely quit train certainly helps.  One of the things that keeps my resolve strong is the thought of letting down everyone here, im not placing my quit on anyone's shoulders but using the fact that if everyone here can maintain their quit and have bad days and get through them then so can I.  Its been a godsend having somewhere to log on when the crave hits, and to read and to see that I am not alone, it feels good xx
