So you are a time traveller... you have the ability to travel through time... and you have travelled to 8 of December 2018.... but where have you travelled from??? That's what you are supposed to do... pretend for the day you have travelled here from somewhere else... and act appropriately.

 

Instead, if you could go back in time and do one thing to effect the future what would you do???

 

 

I'm pretty sure the number 1 answer for us all would be to not have started smoking. 

I'm not sure I would want to change anything because one small change in history could have unexpected consequences.

 

That being said and not giving the answer that I would go back to Dec. 12, 1980 and buy 1,000 shares of Apple stock at the opening bell, I think I would go back to 1940 and assassinate Adolph Hitler. It was 1941 when he really went nuts and started ordering the murder of millions pf innocent people - such a waste of humanity.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I'd go back to a time before my nan died and make sure I gave her a great big hug and tell her how much she was loved. I reckon I was too embarrassed to do that quite enough before we lost her late in my teens. ? 

See I'm in the Reci camp... not really sure I want to change anything because of re-percussion in the space time continuum .... and I do like his option but would probably go back and do Hitler in long before then... would have to be before 38 and Kristallnacht ... dunno would probably make sure a bullet did him in during the first world war if I am truthful.... and then (going to be a big controversial here).... we kind of need war... world peace is a wonderful ideal but the planet can only support so many humans before we exhaust it.... historically population as been controlled by plagues and disasters and war... but modern technology and our universal striving for peace has seen that nolonger being the case... so the population just increases exponentially.... SO there maybe we need large scale war with all it horror and heartbreak every now and then to keep our numbers in check, like a self culling exercise...well there I've said it .... um back on track.... if I could go back in time and change one thing I would would come home to Melbourne from Darwin to say goodbye to my grandad... instead of staying up north to save money...
