  1. I apologize for leaving you all hanging. I have not smoked any nicotine in any form! Thank you for your motivational words and support! Doreensfree, no I don't! And yes, it was definitely the addict talking. My inner addict is addicted to being addicted. QGirl, it would be in my own best interest to keep alcohol out of my life for a while... it honestly doesn't pose much of a threat to my Quit. God knows I've been drunk enough in the last 2 and a half months to reach that conclusion! So yeah, good advice, Q Girl. Johnny5, I appreciate you sharing your experiences with this issue. Very relatable. It would go the same way for be, I'm sure. Minnie Mouse, you said it!
  2. Yeah, it does indeed! What if I smoked a single cigarette while drunk? Is that so bad? I know several people who only smoke when drinking... how do you feel about that?
  3. Thank you all so much for the support. I have stayed strong and not given in to the urge, despite being on the brink a few times.
  4. I've been restlessly craving a cigarette all day... I don't even understand why, I just know I want one. I'm over two months free from nicotine and I know how stupid it is... I know all the reasons why it's foolish, yet this urge is there and the temptation to have 1 is almost overwhelming.
  5. Thanks to all of you for your encouraging words!
  6. Eight weeks ago tonight I inhaled my last breaths of nicotine. I'm feeling unwavering in my resolve to stay quit. I have enough problems in my life as it is, I don't need the burden of being a junkie on top of everything else.
  7. Welcome to the group. Over three weeks, good for you and keep it up! Maybe see this as a chance to be more in the present moment while doing whatever habit you used to do while smoking without it.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
