  5. Yay Tina, you're doing GREAT!!!!
  6. The quit is different for everyone lordy but I think mindset has a lot to do with how hard or easy it is for you. I had a hard first year but it was my own doing because I thought I was missing out when in fact I was freeing myself. Others simply quit and are done and go about their life like they never smoked. But generally speaking I think the first month is the very hardest of the whole first year. You have us though to help you through it all
  7. Welcome aboard lordy and congratulations on 12 days quit, that's fantastic You'll find lots of support and great resources here so be sure to check out all our various forums.
  8. Welcome aboard Amierouge and congrats on taking back your life We have a bunch of members here who have successfully quit with the help of NRT'S. Lots to do here to keep your mind busy so be sure to check out all our various forums

Luckily since I hate going to shops I can totally wait
  13. Told you you got this girl! Pace a hole in the floor if you have to because you'll be able to fix it with ALL the money you'll save by quitting! If you want even more inspiration make yourself a ticker for your signature https://www.quittrain.com/tickers/ You'll be able to watch all the time, money saved and cigarettes not smoked add up since you quit. I loved seeing mine grow and it also showed me what I had to lose it I caved to a crave!
  14. Yea, that is scary. Maybe call your Dr on Monday and see about a different med for your anxiety.
  15. Oooh those are good ones I'm going to go with 3 is the lie only because I know you draw and play sports
  16. Well if the Dr gave it to you he must think that the benefits outweigh any side effects so I would follow his recommendations. He knows your health best.
  17. Yes you can. He'll learn that if he wants to smoke to hide them from you which will help you in this early stage. You should not have any cigarettes within reach right now, especially since you're having such a hard time
  18. You got this girl, go drown those cigarettes!
  19. We can't control the actions of others, believe me I've tried with my own who has people here literally every single day. I've kept my quit and I challenge you to keep yours too! Show the cigarette who is in control and go fill a glass of water and put it in there. Then do the same for every other cigarette in the house. If your husband wants to smoke he'll learn to hide them or risk them getting soaked in water!!!!
  20. Don't give in to it Tina. Make your husband wash his hands before he comes in and even change his clothes too. But don't give him the benefit of causing you to lose your quit!

    S.o.s

Don't ever apologize for asking questions. Googling my quit symptoms is how I came across my first forum. I lurked there for about three weeks before I was brave enough to sign up and man am I glad I did. My fellow quitters calmed my nerves and answered my questions too, just like we want to do for you

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
