  3. I've been trying to get my yard work done, but every time I take a break and peek at this thread I get hungry. Roz's egg sandwich, Weegie's Scottish soup, and now Jo's corned beef and cabbage. It all sounds so good!!!!!!!

  6. Jillar, the best I have been able to tell is that their common branston sandwich pickle is our tangy type bread and butter pickle?

  8. Yummy. We have both here. Our corned beef hash is usually from a can and is usually served with eggs. The corned beef for sandwiches is usually packaged like other lunch meats?
  9. I have not eaten yet today so this conversation has me pretty hungry. I'd be very willing to give the corned beef from a tin a dance around the floor. How is it generally prepared there?
  10. Except for sandwiches, its common to be fresh and boiled with cabbage here. I'm surprised it's not the same there? Is gammon fresh?
  11. It doesn't sound gross to me. We have hams that come in a tin. Don't you?
  12. We also boil corned beef. Is that the same in the UK?
  13. I figured it was ham due to the glaze and pineapple, but I never heard the term gammon for it before?
