  9. Thanks guys, so kind of you all . Will let you know how things go. I spoke to her, she says she has a massive scar running from her neck down to top of her legs, poor woman, but at least she’s alive
  10. Thinking about my Sis, was hoping she would be out of hospital by now, but she had to go back into Intensive care as she temporarily lost all movement in her left leg. She has it back now, but still hooked up to feeding tubes and machines. I am hoping tomorrow she will go back to the general ward, then maybe go home by the end of the week. This is her 3rd week in the hospital. praying mAinly she will stay quit when she comes out.

  12. That is sad. Life is never better with a cigarette in your mouth. Health and wealth are jeopardised. I hope you can gather the strength and commitment to start a new quit soon, before serious problems occur. Wishing you all the best .

  22. Thank you Reci, yes fingers crossed she realises what a great chance she has been given , she is very lucky and she knows it. Monday night the night before the op she kept sending me messages telling me she loved me, I think she was worried she might not make it ... now is the time to make a new life and move on from smoking. covid has definately caused a lot of problems for many people and some won’t make it , as get treatment too late or not at all!
  23. Thank you Jillar. It’s been terrifying, her aneurysm was big, should have been operated on months ago, and I know she was terrified of it rupturing, so smoked to “ease” her stress. I read it’s one of the worst things to do with an aneurysm as it affects your arteries. I tried to get her to stop, but I guess we all stop when we are ready and not when others are worried about us. While she’s been. In hospital obviously she can’t smoke, so that/has given her a good start. I just hope she carries it on. Hopeing she will be greatful for a fresh start and quit and keep healthy.
  24. Congratulations on 7 Years and Thank you MQ for keeping the train running. it has been the best ride of my life.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
