  1. This "cows, cows, cows" video is incredible! It's the most creative thing I've seen in a long while. Super cool! But I shudder to think what it must be like to live inside the artist's head (his name is Cyriak by the way).
  2. Ross, if you type the image code: [#img=http://insertURL/]your photo will appear. InsertURL is the complete URL of the photo like you posted it just a minute ago and be sure to include the opening and closing brackets. (NOTE: remove the hash mark (#)from the image code. That is only there to prevent the forum software from blocking this post.) When I use the [img...] code I get the following:
  3. George of the Jungle Your first?
  4. My mother in Florida has been on narcotics for years and she needs a new paper prescription every month. Her doctor now writes 6 prescriptions at once for her and pre-dates each one. That way she only has to bring the script to the pharmacy each month. She asked the pharmacy to hang onto the whole batch of prescriptions but they said they couldn't do that. At least they can still deliver the narcotics to her home-- I'm afraid that they will stop doing that soon.
  5. I'm so sorry, Nancy. Your brother looks like a fine man! You must miss him a lot. I wish I was with you so I could give you a big hug. (((NANCY!! )))
  6. Hit the road, Jack! what is your favorite holiday?
  7. If you're only going to have one main reason, that's a good one! So the next time you're sorely tempted to smoke, say to yourself: "I'm NOT going to smoke because I want to be strong and healthy and vigorous again. I want that more than I want to smoke." Repeating that to yourself several times while you are deep breathing will REALLY help to control your cravings. You go, girl! :)
  8. I'm leaving on a jet plane Who is your favorite singer?
  9. Good job, Wendy! That was perfect! Step away from the situation, breathe deeply for a few minutes, feel yourself calming down. Perfect! The one thing you forgot was to remind yourself of the 3 main reasons you quit smoking in the first place. That really strengthens your rational brain when you junkie brain thinks it has the upper hand. Having been through this once you now know that you can do it again. This is a BIG victory for you. You are rockin' this quit!
  10. O-o-o-o! Smut! Smut! Smut! Smut! Thanks so much!! :D
  11. Monday, Monday What is your favorite method of transportation?
  12. Marti, twenty years ago I had a disabled person in my party when we went to Disney World. I called the park and was told not to park in the regular parking lot (which is HUGE!!) but to bring our car directly to the handicapped entrance and a valet would take it for us. I don't think it was free, but it sure was convenient. I do not know if Disney still offers this service and/or if any other parks offer it, but you could check.
  13. Still waters run deep... ( ;) )
  14. It's pouring rain here today so I find myself with a little extra time. So I decided to use it to cheer up our dear, smutty Sally. A guy named Joe is sitting at a bar. At the other end of the bar is a horse who is crying and crying and crying. The bartender tells Joe that the crying horse is upsetting everyone and ruining his sales for the night. Joe tells the bartender that for 10 bucks he can get the horse to stop crying. The bartender doesn't believe him but agrees. Joe walks over to the horse and whispers something in his ear. The horse suddenly stops crying and starts laughing. Now he's laughing and laughing and laughing! The bartender goes back to Joe and says that the horse's laughter is even more annoying than his crying. Joe tells the bartender that for another 10 bucks he can get the horse to stop laughing. In desperation, the bartender says yes, yes, anything! So once more, Joe goes over to the horse. Suddenly, the horse stops laughing and starts crying again. The bartender is amazed! As he pays Joe his 20 bucks, the bartender asks Joe how he did that. Joe says, "Well, the first time I went over to the horse, I told him that my dick was bigger than his dick. The second time, I showed him."
  15. Yep, Jenny, that's me! Alway flushed with excitement!
  16. Yes, I thought it was strange that I sent it more than 24 hours ago but you had not read it yet. I guess your settings are not adjusted to give you a pop-up alert when you have a new PM.
  17. Joe, please remember the old adage, "If the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem you see is a nail." This applies to surgeons more than to anyone else I know. They see a problem, they recommend surgery. As with SueBeDoo's mother, my mother had severe back problems from a collapsed disk. She had a laminectomy (disk removal and vertebral fusion) and it did no good. She finally got immediate and complete relief from acupuncture! :o I also had chronic, excruciating back problems from two compressed disks. I went to a back specialist who told me that 30% of the adult population has compressed disks but most people have no symptoms. He recommended a series of back stretching and strengthening exercises that I did FAITHFULLY EVERY DAY for 6 months and my back problems stopped. I kept doing the exercises 3 or 4 times a week for another 6 months and have had no problems since. I have a friend whose disk was protruding into the interior of the spinal column causing much pain. They wanted to do surgery to remove the disk and fuse the vertebrae. She refused and opted instead for injections of enzymes to dissolve the protruding bit. It took a long time (like 6 or 8 months) but it worked. Her back problems were solved without surgery. I am not a doctor and, of course, I have no knowledge of what is causing your back problems. Surgery may well be the best treatment for you. But please investigate carefully and consider some alternatives before agreeing to surgery.
