  1. NOPE! Day 15 and already excited to say day 16.
  2. Smoking triggers: 1st thing in the morning, after any meal, after exercise or yard work, after sex, while drinking.
  3. Thankfully I never smoked inside. This is a serious question, but do you think that will remove all of the smell? I've read that most end up using killz and completely repainting a room to get rid of the odor.
  4. People don't think that I'm lecturing you, but smoking is not relaxing. It's actually a complete waste of time. How many times have we went for a smoke when we needed to be doing something different? I'm on day 14 and yes I still have urges, this is a mental addiction like no other. But we have to realize that we did not gain anything from smoking.
  5. Congrats on keeping your quit. I'm on day 11 and know that I will definitely gain some weight throughout this process.
  6. First splurge today, Oct. 1st goin to see Lynyrd Skynyrd!
  7. I don't say this negatively, but the US is the only country that really tries to dictate what people each day. That being said, I'm glad I decided to kick the bad habit.
  8. NOPE! Yesterday evening wasn't fun. One meltdown fought through and on day 10 though.
  9. Nope, day 9 here. Double digits here we come!
  10. Sooner or later you will have to find a way to deal with these situations. Luckily 95% of my friends do not smoke. That being said, you may be the encouragement they need to give it up as well. I've always thought to stare our demons down and beat them. If you feel that you can't, then you need to leave before you give in.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
