  4. Good morning NOPE!!
  5. Oof so many of them I have used as well. I find it odd how well I feel when I do quit but break to those excuses. So far this time I've changed my focus from the reasons to how good I am feeling

  8. I’m currently on day 37 still a little early in recovery Was a very chronic user of nicotine started at 17/18 currently 23 truthfully I started for larping/social reason at those ages I never really needed to vape or smoke. 1st 3 years it wasn’t to bad it’s only from ages 20-23 onwards it became a problem. Went from vaping during certain times of the day to then vaping almost EVERY second of the day. Before bed I would vape, wake up first thing vape,go toilet Vape ,drive a Large bus Vape ,drive in general vape, I could honestly continue with the list of places/situations where I would vape but we would be here forever haha. The 1st week- IT feels like hell genuine hell what made the 1st week so scary was that I genuinely never associated it to nicotine withdrawal one thing that many people on here don’t tell you is that your brain doesn’t necessarily have to crave nicotine to go thru withdrawals so in my case it was a situation where my brain was trying to find a reason to tie the physical symptoms to. The 2nd week- You still feel the physical symptoms and the restlessness however it’s comes in waves and there much quieter. The 3rd-Week- I was WAY better I thought everything was good…… The 4th-week- felt like I was going thru a mini saga of week 1 again just a little milder. Current day- As I write this I’m a lot better the anxiety/restlessness definitely subdues itself. As someone that’s very skeptical about “advice” what I will say is a lot of the cliché things fellow Redditor’s might advise…going for walks ect.. they work and it helps. Whatever thoughts are racing thru your head don’t constantly go on google and research them all the time it doesn’t help at all it provides you with temporary relief and that in of Itself creates a loop that becomes harder to get out of as your brain gets hooked onto this idea of “temporary” reassurance that everything’s gonna be alright. Remember you gotta give 90 days it’s a long process. None of us will have the same style of recovery some will have it easier and some will endure the hell of it. Also I’m more than happy for anyone to drop me a message privately if you just wanna vent about how the experience is making you feel I’m more than happy to listen ! Definitely wish I had a support system of people that understood the difficulties of this.

  14. Yep! No question that being a quitter makes long haul travelling a pleasure rather than torture! I can still remember theordeal I experienced once when I still smoked and we took a Cruise one summer in the Med. We flew from Toronto Canada to Istanbul Turkey. I think it was about a 10 hour non-stop flight. I thought I would lose my mind after about 3 hours in with no smokes 😱 I remember running for the exit once we arrived and let the wife collect the luggage while I puffed away on two or three cigs. Good lord! what a slave to nicotine I was back then. Now; I could fly to the moon and never even think about having a smoke😊 What a special and unanticipated benefit to quitting that was!
