Hey Stew! Sorry you're getting smacked in the face with the reality of what our choices can bring to our doorstep later in life. Been there myself only with a different issue but kind of similar in a way ... all traces back to years, no decades, of smoking. It sucks for sure but if we don't make lemonade from the lemons were dealt, there's only dispare and negativity left and that's not living. Retirement ain't so bad; in fact it's pretty cool, once you get used to it. More time for you with your loved ones and besides, you'll be slowing down later on anyway. Being retired and able to sleep in on a weekday is a nice new normal Sorry you've got a long road ahead. I get it! I may have beat my initial scare but there's a reason the Oncology Doc is monitoring me closely every 3 months. it's not because he's got nothing eles to do. He knows there's a chance my cancer might come back at any time, I'm in remission - not cured! None of us know our fate. All we can do is deal with things as they come to us and make the best of it by focusing on all the good things going on in our lives. That's living and we only get one kick at the can so let's make the most of it 🥳🎉
