  10. That's great @podarki 😄 Six years is a big accomplishment!!
  11. I used Chantix the first time I quit and the symptoms that I had was nausea in the morning which lasted about 30 mins and vivid dreams. The nausea wasn't easy but it did go away after a while, and the dreams didn't bother me at all. For me it was a wonder drug as it made me forget to smoke. You are supposed to only smoke for the first week. Are you following the directions? I suggest you talk with your doctor since everyone has a different reaction to it.
  12. @Sal As I keep telling you and telling every other new quitter who comes to this site, come on here every day and do the Daily Nope pledge. It will keep you focused. Start your quit today, why wait? Posponing it will not help at all. We all know that quitting is not easy but it can be done. Look at all of us who have quit. You can do this!!!
  13. I wish o could transport you what it feels like to finally kick the cigarettes I carnt I can only tell you how wonderful it feels Do all you can to be free 🐸
  14. After trying to quit for 50 yrs plus And trying every quit known to man My honest advice is just make that decision never to smoke again And stick to it … no matter what . Yes it hurts for a while .. actually it sucks But when the magic happens … it’s amazin Freedom is the best 🐸
  15. Different methods make some initial difference to some people in the very early stages of quitting but that is really just easing the strength and/or frequency of cravings. There is NO magic bullet that will make quitting easy - there just isn't! Yes quitting is difficult particularly in the early stages. You are not only purging nicotine from your body & brain but you are also having to change up your daily routine because you are eliminating having a smoke every 30 minutes or what every your own frequency is so you need to find others things to occupy your mind and hands with. The single most important tool you must have starting out is a rock solid committment to yourself that you WILL quit smoking NO MATTER WHAT! Quitting IS hard but it never killed anyone and that applies to all of us. Continuing to smoke will steal your finances and your health ongoing and likely at an increasing rate as you age - that's a guarantee! Make your choice and follow through with it.
  16. I'll agree with @GonSo Sal and recommend that you quit as soon as possible. Why delay being free from the clutches of nicotine? The sooner you start, the sooner you'll be free! The other issue with setting a quit date at somepoint in the future is that we all tend to make and excuse to delay as that date draws closer - that's just not you, it applies to ALL of us. We're all humans and that is simply a human reaction to something you really would prefer not to have to do. We're all here to support you and here to help guide you with suggestions based on our own quit experiences. That's all we can do. The actual quitting is up to you and be assured, it IS possible for all of us🙂
  17. Congrats on being nicotine free for 6 years @podarki and I fully agree with you that being free from the slavery to nicotine addiction is really nice in fact, it turned out to be the best part of quitting in the end and was not siomething I'd even thought about when I first started out to quit.
