  5. G’day NOPE .....Not One Puff Ever. Why does sunlight make you sneeze?
  6. Gday You’ve got your freedom. You’ve suddenly freed up a large lump of your day that you used for smoking ……Now what do you do with it? Of course we all know that smoking releases dopamine and gives you pleasure. Suddenly you have to fill the void. Instinctually you know that you can’t replace it with extra coffee or coke or donuts. I took to having a proper break cutting up an apple or an orange into pieces along with a hand full of nuts. Bit by bit taking the time it took to rush out to have a smoke and rush back. I took to carrying a packet of fruit tic tacs. It filled the habit of checking for my smokes and lighter. A quik tap of my pocket and my little tic tac box was there. They have only a couple of calories per box and unlike the peppermint ones you can kill you taste buds buds by chewing to many. One of the proudest moments came from a blind friend. She said I used to smell of smoke but many people smell of smoke I was different I smell like fruit. She always knew when I was as around . Now that was 10 years ago now at least but I’ve never forgot it. There was a time when every meal was followed by a cigarette. Every completed job by a victory smoke. The meal is the important thing. A good job well done is just as well done without the cigarette…..
  7. @Cbdave .... Like a cross between a chow mein and Singapore noodles, but blackhead... I like. Could defo do that with mushies or tofu. Nothing wrong with a cheat sauce.

  9. Tough day today. Tbh my first days quitting hadnt been too bad. A business trip to Taiwan got me out of my regular routine….but now back home and my first days of “regular” work and its been tough all day, starting out by waking and not having my traditional cup of coffee and 2 smokes….and has not been much better since. Some things that have helped a little Telling everyone ive quit Telling myself that Ive quit, multiple times Doing anything and everything to just ride out the craving..doesnt matter how stupid the action is Deep breathing, while smiling at the fact that my lungs are not crackling and wheezing Being honest with myself and just harshly accepting the fact that I dont smoke anymore and that Im not missing anything Reminding myself that every minute that passes is one step closer to freedom, and that every minute to come will be a mili-fraction better than the last “Enjoying” the fact that my dogs stink….and that I can now smell them. Reading posts here, knowing I am not alone Now at 8 days, 19 hours and 8 minutes….another 11 minutes passed 😎 Be kind to yourself, onwards and upwards! A
