disappointed in myself - day two and relapsed.....again

Featured Replies

Day 2 relapse is progress. I dont recall how many day 1 relapses I had.

Step 1... Don't smoke anymore

Step 2... buck the fcuk up and deal with the Bullshit

Step 3... be a winner... the other side is a wonderful place

keep on keepin on

JKLNhd- It is really more a matter of you decided to smoke correct?

If you can abstain for two days, abstain for another.

Focus is critical.  Attitude is everything.

When you find yourself thinking how nice it would be to have a cigarette, substitute cigarette for lung cancer and see

if it still sounds nice.

When you think you can't last another minute, tell yourself you'll give it another half hour.

Recognize that you are an addict and your own brain will run away with you if you give it half a chance.

You not only have to resist the temptations but focus your mind away from thinking about cigarettes in terms of

anything positive.

Listen to Sarge when he talks about the harsh dissonance stuff.  He knows what he's talking about.

Quitting becomes easier ,when you finally see smoking for what it is...?

A highly addictive drug..that's it ..a drug that is manufactured to keep the user hooked..

Take away the myths..its not our friend, its not our crutch,it doesn't take away problems..it doesn't make us calm..

Only we can do that..

How I wish ..I could have wrote that 50 odd years ago...but I was a addict then and well and truly hooked..
