When we smoked...we blocked the nasty stuff ...it happened to someone else ...right....

Wrong....your not a special snow flake...gender..age..c.o.p.d doesn't care.....

Stop burying your head in the sand...I can tell you 1st hand..how this can effect your life and love ones...

You want to know more...sign up and ask me anything...I will be honest...

Anything more than stop can be done? Eat more bananas or ?

So very sorry you and Tony have to live with this disease....

>Stopping smoking stops this crippling ilness getting any worse

Actually, it *can* still progress even after quitting. It will (likely) slow down progression but for most the disease continues to progress. Just much more slowly.

Also - there are plenty of Never Smokers with COPD who die from the progression of the disease. Nothing at all to do with smoking or quitting, and it still progresses to termination.

Lessons learned from Doreen's life and all QTrains testimonies help to keep me quit.

There is no doubt that to some degree,  damage has been done.

I won't be surprised if I have to really pay for my addiction down the road.

The fact that my second hand smoke drifted into my daughter's lungs is a horrible truth.

The only sliver lining is that I stopped perpetuating the damage and for that I am grateful.

I'm with you sally...im sure after 52 years of smoking...I havnt dodged anything...

But for today...im so grateful to still be alive... To able to have quit...and live the rest of my life ,the best possible way I can..smoke free...and a sense of pride...I'm not going to die ..a smoker..

In your face tabacco companies...

Great video and good information.  Sadly, I didn't quit soon enough and it is also true that Sgt. Barney said, it does still progress even when we quit smoking but much, much slower, thank God. I am still grateful that I quit..I would be dead now if I had not quit.

Congrats P having the strength to quit...

My husband carried on smoking for another twelve years after being diagnosed..he didn't heed the warnings...

He is now on the end stages...which could go on for years...

He worked with asbestos too...and has dust on his lungs...a double whammy...

Hi Sgt., no my bass is a vintage Fender Mustang.  I like the P bass but the short scale neck is better for me cause I have small hands.  I take it your a musician too?  :)
