For heavens sake, do you know how hard it is now?

2 truths are difficult to come by.

1. I have just been watching the commonwealth games swimming.

2. I can't watch Chad Le Clos without smiling at the thought of his dad.

3. I feel cheated that Ben Proud got disqualified in the swimming.

Man they could all be true....

1. potentially true... heats would be just finishing but you may have just watched another event

2. Who doesn't love Bert.

3. If I was a pom I'd be feeling cheated... I think he copped a raw deal for sure... have you heard the Thorpe live commentary of it... pretty damning...

Um...

1 is the lie.

Yeah Jillar has it!

1. True, love the swimming and was disappointed when we had the Olympics here and I couldn't get tickets

2. True, Bert is brilliant and his beautiful boy is a pretty decent swimmer as well

3. Lie, disappointed but didn't feel cheated. Seen it before, but @notsmokinjo haven't seen the Thorpe commentary, what was the gist?

Woohoo I win one! Ok

1. My 2007 car only has 21,000 miles on it

2. My sister snaps at me all the time

3. My brother called me for the first time in over four years

So @Sslip I was at home yesterday and spent most of the day watching various sports so I watch it live.... I trolled the net and found the exact words thorpie said but I will put in the missing shit.

So Thorpie has just raved on about what great heat swim Proud had and how he may do the world record in the final and it would be hard to get a gold for the aussies with the way Proud was swimming when thorpie goes:

(sounding totally shocked) “Oh wow. (pause... then in total disbelief) No. (bigger pause... still sounding shocked) Fastest swimmer Ben Proud must have broken on the start,”

“We’ll have to look at this replay.

(We watched the replay about 10 times at least) Maybe movement on the blocks here. (still shocked) He looked like he was in the water fast. In swimming (there are) no false starts.

(we watch it (just the start) a dozen more times still with thorpie in shock)

"It’s the slightest of movement. The slightest of movement. It wouldn’t have been advantageous in any way.”

Did you not know Bert had passed? So sad, prostrate cancer.... best go let the doctor stick his finger up ya bum @Sslippy your getting to that fun age.

3. is the lie

1 is the lie. Oops too slow and too wrong :8_laughing:

@notsmokinjo I knew both his parents had cancer but wasn't aware bert had passed. As for the prostate, was checked through blood work last time, but I have had the physical check as well. :8_laughing:

Edited by Sslip

well I figured if he had called you it was only to ask who was paying ya mum's bills and we would have heard a vent about it.

shitski....

1. I cry during medal ceremonies even when its not my country

2. I will cheer for any team ahead of England in the commonwealth

3. I have been cheering for Canada (when there aren't aussies) because @reciprocity has made me feel sorry for them because they aren't getting supported at home.

1. True: Tear up whenever they have an Aussie medal ceremony but anyone from any country tears up and I'm a goner. When the little scot girl hit her swim gold tonight an she sang along to flower of Scotland... Gone.

2. Lie. I'll cheer for england over sth Africa...dunno why it just is.

3. True:  I feel sorry for Canada they are doing OK and aren't even in the news at home.
