  2. @Weegie, if drinking isnt/wasnt a trigger drink drink drink! It was for me and i didnt drink for my first year of being a quitter. How i celebrated 1 year was i drank and to my surprise i didnt have the crave/urge for a smoke at all...
  3. @reciprocity, i agree. It is a tremendous help to be around others who have made the same choice that we have.. Perfect place for quitters to vent
  4. Find your reasons. Make a list of your reasons for quitting and read it often. Pick a quit date. Choose a day that works for you and gives you time to prepare. Throw out all of your cigarettes beforehand, and get rid of ashtrays and lighters. Get support and encouragement. Tell your family, friends and coworkers that you are quitting and ask for their support. Notice what triggers cravings. Alcohol, coffee, stress, and being around others who smoke can all trigger cravings. Notice what makes you feel like smoking so that you can avoid those situations or change your routine. Keep trying. It take almost everyone multiple tries to quit smoking, so don’t be afraid to try again. You haven’t failed – you learned more about your triggers. Throw out your cigarettes and start again.

  15. RIP Chris, "And on I read Until the day was gone And I sat in regret Of all the things I've done For all that I've blessed And all that I've wronged In dreams until my death I will wander on"
  16. I agree with johnny5, its good to express yourself as later on around certain anniversaries you'll reflect on your quit and to be able to read the early stages its a great reminder to never want to go through the process again. Congrats on 10 weeks
  17. I love AIC, this song(would) was written by Jerry Cantrell about Andrew Wood who died of a H OD. This is what jerry said about the song "I was thinking a lot about Andrew Wood at the time. We always had a great time when we did hang out, much like Chris Cornell and I do. There was never really a serious moment or conversation, it was all fun. Andy was a hilarious guy, full of life and it was really sad to lose him. But I always hate people who judge the decisions others make. So it was also directed towards people who pass judgments.: This is one i can relate to, that feeling of being dead inside(depression). AIC, great music soon as the lyrics hit ya
