  1. Congratulations Hope2Nope! 2 years smoke free is excellent! Great job!
  2. I'm really sorry for all that you are going through, Linda, but what good would come out of giving in to that darn smoke? It will not change your situation for the better. It will just make you feel so much worse. Believe me, that cigarette will make you feel horrible. You have a great quit going. Please don't give up on it. Lighting up will not improve anything.

    Hit and Run

Yeah, I know the Cubs are looking to sign him. I have mixed feelings about that now. We already have a couple of huge deals on the books that I think we regret (Darvish, Heyward) but I don't think anyone questions their attitudes. They just haven't produced on the field. I agree with Whispers. I would be fine with Machado becoming a Yankee.
  4. We are all here to support each other. Great job in reaching out during a tough time. You are making it through the roughest days and believe us, things really do get a lot better with time. I know you are going through an emotional roller-coaster. This happens to most quitters early on. Still, try not to feel sorry for yourself. You are doing an awesome thing in quitting smoking. It might not feel like it now but you are doing a great job.
  5. Congratulations Jo! Thanks for all the support and fun that you bring here. I hope you celebrate today!
  6. I'm glad you didn't light up, Farmgirl. Weird cravings and smoking thoughts do pop up on occasion months after you've quit but they become weaker and less frequent with time. I hope that is the case for you. I'm amazed at how bad smokers smell now. That's one of the great rewards for quitting - not smelling like that anymore. Congrats on 10 months smoke free. You have done a great thing in quitting.
  7. Welcome aboard, Cader. Congratulations on your pregnancy and also on deciding to quit smoking. Quitting smoking is a truly great thing to do. It is good to have you here.
  8. Welcome aboard, Rhino. Congrats on 3 days smoke free. You are doing a great thing by quitting smoking. Stick close to this site. There is a lot of support and knowledge here that can help you stay quit for good.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
