Hi, @Sal. I quit using the patch, supplemented by the occasional lozenge. But I procrastinated for a long time. I told myself I was "preparing myself" or "gearing up" or "gathering my will" to quit. But the reality was that I was scared... scared of missing smoking, scared of failing to quit (again), scared of how much suffering withdrawal would be, scared that I'd be miserable forever. Withdrawal was no fun. But it was temporary. Here on the other side, I feel way better than I ever imagined. You will, too! Step forward and claim your very own freedom!

Hi @Unome. I am sorry that you feel so awful. Definitely speak with your doctor about side effects. And if one method doesn't work, try another. The initial stages of quitting are pretty grim no matter what. But they are transient. Sending encouragement your way!
