Just feeling a little sad

Featured Replies

Not really smoking related, so please remove the post if inappropriate.

Just feeling very alone and sad tonight - my OH called early to let me know his father (my father-in-law) had just died.  We had been expecting it, but it has still come as such a shock.  Feel so useless being here in France while he is in UK dealing with all this.  Most people don't like their in-laws, but I love mine so much, more so since I lost my own parents a few years back.

I've not been tempted to smoke at all weirdly.

Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest.  It helps to write it down as I can't say it out loud being on my own.

Stay strong everyone - life is so precious, so let's do all we can to make it as good as possible, without those pesky cigarettes.

I'm so sorry Pumpkin. HUGS. It's so hard to lose those close to us and it's hard when you're not there. Take comfort in the memories and the experiences you all shared in life. Love is precious. xx

Sorry for your loss Pumpkin.

I can imaging it's extra tough when your not there with your OH to support each other.

Happy to hear you're not struggling with your quit on top of it all.

Thanks everyone.  Just spoken to my OH and he is holding up well.  It has been expected, which from my own experience kind of makes it a little easier to cope with.

I will stay strong for us all.

xxxx

Stay strong Pumpkin, darling. Yeah losing someone close is hard i know it well. A hug your way.
