November 30, 201411 yr We all have them. One of mine when I ran into a train as it crossed a road I was driving down. I slipped on ice, going too fast for the conditions really. It seemed like I would was sliding on that ice forever! In the last few moments before colliding with the train I decided to try to ditch the car in a snowbank. It worked too, but unfortunately there was a guard rail under that snow bank and when I hit it I was propelled back out of the snowbank and into the train. My car caught on for a second and I was pulled along and then suddenly it released. The car was a mangled mess. The engine was actually in my lap and the drivers door was gone...I was stuck half in and half out of the car on a bitter cold winter day. The radio was playing Jessie James by Cher. I remember thinking that if the radio was on there could be a fire, so I turned it off. I could see people in the background but they were scared to approach until I made some noise. Poor things were affraid of what they would see. It took emergency crews 2 hours to cut me from the car. I only had minor injuries really which was a miracle in itself. Throughout the entire ordeal, I wanted to smoke so badly. I could see them on the floor but couldn't reach them. It drove me nuts! Even in the face of a life or death situation, I was focused on smoking more than anything else. Pfftt. Never again.
