  1. Hey guys! Thank you all very much for your nonstop support. You all have had a hand in this! It has been an extremely rewarding and eye opening experience so far. I live in a different world now. I know that being sad or nervous or angry sometimes is perfectly natural. Choosing to ignore the cause and to only treat the symptom is lazy, irresponsible, and meaningless. Things that make you feel bad don't go away on their own, even if you don't feel them for a while. You always have a choice, whatever you do. You should make good ones. By the way, I still haven't celebrated properly. Been very busy with work recently. But I'll keep you posted on any developments Keep those quits people! Keep respecting yourselves! And thank you so much!
  2. I work in an office with 10 people, all smokers. All of my close friends are smokers. My flatmate is a smoker. There are cigarettes and lighters and ashtrays all over the place, everywhere I go. And there's been absolutely no support coming from any of those people. All I've had to cling on to has been my own will and the support of all the amazing people here on the quit train! Like everyone says, keep educating yourself and become aware of the nature of your addiction. Keep "NOPE"ing and don't give up if you slip a few times. And having a personal reason to quit (on top of all the general health benefits and the like) really helps you to stay focused and to keep your quit when things get rough. It's really easier than it looks! You'll be fine

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
