I carnt believe...I spent 52 years of my life ,shutting out the true horror of what smokkng does... I am only too thankful....I'm even here today...to be able to write this ....

I would ask everyone to watch all this video... The health risks it mentions do happen.... Tony and I could have been the main characters ...for us.....it was already happenening.... Keep the quit.....for some it may be hard..... But think....having oxygen every day for 16 hours....this is even harder.....

One holiday in turkey,I had to stay in hospital for 4 days.... As soon as I could get out of bed....I opened the window in my room and smoked... The Turkish nurse came in.....I couldn't speak the language,but I didn't have too...she was angry....

I know sweetheart...deep down you are beating yourself up... Those who still romance the cig....believe it is a friend...a crutch....helps in certain situations..is up for relapse.... Education ...jackie....learn all you can.....know your enemy..... You can do this.....you just have to want it bad enough to grab with both hands and don't let go....no matter what.... Just think....if I relapse.....I will lose my feet...that's how serious this is.... Don't let this be you one day....or copd..... Quit now .... Ps...I would love to see your wedding....

Wendy....keep reading also....all you can....educate yourself....read about the tobacco company,s too...What keeps us addicted and why....never stop trying to find the thing that just gels to you...and helps you keep that quit... Don't end up like Tony's and I......smoke until it has seriously effected your health.... I will gladly be your huckleberry..... You won't fail.....

Brilliant post Ross.... I know for certain...it's making good friends here...that has helped me keep my precious quit.... It does hurt when you care for folk....and they just disappear..... The daily pledge and the yearly pledge....give you the solid foundations to build a strong quit... I will pledge to stay with my friends and support anyone who needs it..... We are a family.....and family look after each other....
