  2. Yep! No question that being a quitter makes long haul travelling a pleasure rather than torture! I can still remember theordeal I experienced once when I still smoked and we took a Cruise one summer in the Med. We flew from Toronto Canada to Istanbul Turkey. I think it was about a 10 hour non-stop flight. I thought I would lose my mind after about 3 hours in with no smokes 😱 I remember running for the exit once we arrived and let the wife collect the luggage while I puffed away on two or three cigs. Good lord! what a slave to nicotine I was back then. Now; I could fly to the moon and never even think about having a smoke😊 What a special and unanticipated benefit to quitting that was!

  5. G’day NOPE .....Not One Puff Ever.
  6. That is a good feeling. Glad you are embracing the positives of being smoke free. I often associated traveling with smoking as well but overtime, the association weakens greatly. Keep up the great work.
  7. Ditto! Every damn one of them! Great post indeed @HimalayanClimber
  8. Hello team quitters! On the train traveling back from Amsterdam to home, and having a little moment of enjoyment in the fact that I DO NOT SMOKE ANYMORE! Ive always associated traveling with smoking stress, with a long haul flight being the impetus to launch this forever quit….Its always been like when will be my last smoke, how many smokes can I get in before boarding, can I check out and smoke and then check back in, can I sneak to the end of the platform to smoke a sly one? I mean ive even chosen longer journeys with complex connections to ensure I could smoke. AND ITS ONLY A 2hr TRAIN JOURNEY 🤯 Anyway, enjoying a good read, not stinking, not stressing and will be home earlier than normal. Its all good 😊 Hope you are all doing ok A
  9. Welcome @HimalayanClimber and welcome to QuitTrain. You are doing a great thing in quitting smoking. Looking forward to following your journey to smoke-free freedom.
  10. Good morning NOPE!!
  11. No….5
  12. G’day! Good on you for putting those big boy pants on. “It worked for me right up to the time when it stopped working” is the most honest line I’ve read in a long time. I’ve told myself I can quit any time so often that I almost believed it. The hard part, like you said, is quitting while knowing there’s no going back. That’s a scary thought for me, but your post makes it feel possible. Thanks for sharing this, mate. It means a lot.
  13. Gday 1. I can quit any time I want I resemble that remark. I could and did quit many times in my life. And it worked for me right up to the time when it stopped working. I was facing health issues and sensibly had to face stoping smoking forever! Easy to quit when your fallback was to take it up again. It was hard quitting that last time knowing this was it. But I put my big boys pants on and admitted I was an addict pure and simple. Once I’d got that into my thick skull it made the concept of NOPE a lot more palatable. Not One Puff EVER.
