Think about this - even other groups in society's lowest rungs might band together but thieves - ONLY their work-partner if they have one.

For craigslist and offerup, would that be a good bargaining point to tell the seller, "You probably stole it anyways, why not just take less $$$?"

To me stuff is just stuff ....... you know, it can all be replaced but the part of thievery that makes my blood boil is the violation factor. That someone you don't even know has that little regard for you, & the stuff you probably worked hard for that they just steal it from you for their own gain. That's the part that sucks! And yes, they often get a tenth of what the stuff is really worth I expect but now we're talking about stuff again not the real issue; personal violation :(

Generators sell quick and unless there seen with shady dudes..chances are slim anyone ever runs their serial number.  Hope you get them back.

My insurance agent called me yesterday and said they will pay for everything minus a couple of bucks for depreciation which they were all brand new basically. So I know what I'm getting for Christmas

Well, that helps!  I don't understand how a person's mind can think it is okay to steal something someone else worked for!!

Drug addict will steal from their mother to feed their addiction. Stealing from a stranger is no problem at all! There's no morality when you are at that level :(
