April 23, 201412 yr ... that's the conversations I have with myself. I stopped communicating with myself, feeling myself to prevent relapse. When I do communicate I hear an inner voice say 'I wanna smoke...' 'why?' I ask 'Because I hurt'. How can you embrace yourself and empower yourself or nurter without saying yes to that cig (that won't solve a thing) Since me quit 4 days ago I stopped communicating, which is not a good thing. I was blanco in therapy. OF COURSE there's a lot of pain, inner hurt and tears but many parts want to solve that by lighting a cigarette. How can I nurter a damaged part and embrace it without loosing control. COMMUNICATION is the KEY I DO NOT need a cig or a patch on my arm to communicate, although it feels like rediscovering the wheel all over again.
April 23, 201412 yr Not smoking IS embracing yourself, nurturing yourself, empowering yourself. Smoking is poisoning yourself. You nurture all your parts by breathing clean fresh air, by drinking cool clean water, by singing, by reading, by praying. These are things that nurture. Smoke does nothing but harm. You know this Evelyn. Keep calm and collected.
