Sleeping issue sucks... hang on.. you are doing awesome.

Oh what do you write?

Pleased it's all going ok. Sorry about the sleeping troubles, is that normal for you or quit related?  I often try peppermint tea before bed, seems to help relax and works for a couple of my friends I told to try too...maybe worth a go? xx

good morning.

I appreciate the existence of your site and plan to use it pretty heavily within the next few weeks.

I quit sunday night. so this is day three.

weight gain is my biggest fear, so I've gone wheat-free and sugar-free. I do the n.y city ballet workout for 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening.

any other suggestions? I do plenty of water, green vegetables and fresh fruit.

again, thanks.

It all starts somewhere, right? Welcome aboard.

FYI: Wheat and sugar are not the enemy. Calories are. Have all the wheat and sugar you want, as long as your calories stay below your TDEE.

well, I give up. how do I attach an article i'd like to share? I've tried every typical method I've ever used and nothing seems to work here. what am I missing?

Oh don't know, maybe PM a moderator to ask? Maryland Quitter, Jenny, Colleen, Babs... sure any fo those could answer.

hi, everyone. still having a hard time sleeping. but I got one article done and I have an interview for the second one this evening.

I got some jigsaw puzzles, which are a godsend. and i'm working out at least twice daily. I hope to be wheat-free by the end of this week.

I also have difficulties sleeping, if that's any consolation. ;) I'm glad it's going well otherwise. Question: Who is that beautiful horse on your avatar?

hi, oneistoo. someone else asked about the  colt. that's smarty jones, the ky derby/Preakness winner from 2004. he's in my top ten thoroughbreds list!

while i'm sorry you have sleep issues, it's good to know i'm not alone!

He's beautiful! He's got really good vibes.

Strangely, I seem to be getting a second wind every night at around ten. I've cut very much down on coffee since my quit, so I doubt it's that. I sometimes can stay awake until five in the morning. I don't have problems getting up, but if I can I'll sleep in. I think it'll correct itself at some point.

well, tomorrow evening will be two weeks.

I don't feel miserable at all. in fact I don't feel any difference. I feel like I should suffer more, but honestly i'm not having cravings and rarely think about it.

everyone says quitting is so hard, but that hasn't been my experience.

I had planned to clean my home and do other domestic projects to keep busy, but I haven't done any of that. I am working out more, but that's about the only thing i'm doing differently. oh, and the jigsaw puzzles. I think they're my new addiction.

I really do need to kick the wheat habit, though. the more research I do, the  more  I realize that wheat is nearly as dangerous as tobacco. and tougher to kick. so that's my new goal. it well probably be tougher. wish me luck.
