November 26, 201411 yr Ooh, good choice, I like Clive Barker, probably Cabal being my favourite (although I haven't read too much of his). Favourite author is Richard a Laymon (that guy was twisted, RIP)... Best author of all time. I love so many of his books but probably the Beast House Trilogy :)
November 26, 201411 yr My favorite book is "The Summons" by John Grisham. 2nd is "Heart Of The Sea" about Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick. 3rd is "Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage" by Alfred Lansing. I loved reading Allen Eckert's historical fiction books starting with "The Frontiersman" about Simon Kention through "Tecumseh". R.I.P. Tom Clancy (from Baltimore).
November 28, 201411 yr I'll have to agree with Wendy -not a particular favorite book but do have some go to authors and I also enjoy Non-Fiction at times as well John Grisham, James Patterson, Michael Connelly, Tom Robbins (he has some out there books) Michael Crichton also, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child paired up for some good reading as well.
November 28, 201411 yr Well..my personal favorite is Steven King.. I HAVE missed his last few books.. I used to live right across the street from the library in a small town...(anyone remember what those were ;) ..lol) The ladies that worked there would automatically reserve the "new" Steven King for me when it was released..The first few times, I was like...I didnt reserve it..it must be someone else...but, they knew i was a fan and put my name on the list...right below theirs :P anyhow...whenever King would have too long between books, I would read others..with what I thought similar "style"...and Clive Barker was one that I really enjoyed..i only read a handful of his, and if I still lived in my old house, I am sure I would have read more... Its a shame i dont take the time to read as much anymore :( (Hunger Games was the last books I read)
November 28, 201411 yr Author Awesome! Now I have several fresh ideas for authors to check out. You guys are awesome! Other authors I enjoy are Stephen King, Terry Brooks, Orson Scott Card, Charles de Lint, and Joe Hill (Kings son). Man, imma have to go to the library now. I think I will start taking reading breaks at work!
