  1. Hello, Asking for my mom, she's in her 70s, and smoked for over 40 years, just had a mini stroke last week and is recovering at home. She hasn't smoked in 10 days. She just developed a rash on her upper arm and stomach. Could this be nicotine withdrawal side effect? She's also on a new blood thinner but has been on that for couple weeks, so not sure if it can be an allergic reaction to the meds after 10 days or more to do with quitting smoking. Any thoughts? Tina

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
